Southern Rebelz, a dynamic DJing duo made up of Toxic Rebel and The Rebel Fibonacci
Based in London UK, the Southern Rebelz draw much of their authentic house music sound from their Southern African roots. Their specialist mixes delve into a combination of Kasi (South African) deep house, soulful house, deep tech as well as broken beats, Nu Disco, afro house & Amapiano.
Influenced by their Southern African origins, the Southern Rebelz sound is built on a fusion of Kasi vibes, soulful house, deep tech alongside jazz, nu disco & broken beats. Inspired by underground house Djs and their passion for ‘eccentric’ art and fashion, the dynamic duo incorporate their individuality not only in their sound but also their stage presence/performance.
The duo made their talent and presence quickly known in the underground UK house scene with their array of media. Their monthly podcast on heartthis and radio slot on London based internet radio station Drums Radio featuring international DJs is just one of the ways that the duo showcase their work and style. As well as their residency at TwelveBar and weekly Youtube underground deep house sessions, Southern Rebelz have exhibited their skills alongside major DJs at the Prince of wales night club in Brixton with Manoo and hosted an event at soho House with Kid fonque (staytruesounds).
Recently, they’ve made their mark on the industry, playing at major events such as Mzansi festival, Ritual, South African youth day, Afrotastic, Natives, Abantu & London Fashion week. The Rebelz have also played as guest Dj’s at the following UK Radio stations:

After having done so much already, the Southern Rebelz aspire to keep growing, moving into the production world set to release their debut EP “PINK MOON” in September 2024 and taking on international stages.
