Sol’s journey into the world of DJing began in the winter of 2002, when a friend's first pair of decks sparked a passion that quickly became a lifelong pursuit. It was in Aberdeen, where Sol attended university, that the initial steps were taken into the art form. There, Sol had the good fortune of playing his first nightclub and bar gigs, setting the stage for a vibrant career ahead.
In 2003, Sol relocated to Edinburgh and swiftly established residencies in some of the city’s top nightclubs and bars. Among these early achievements was the opportunity to warm up for DJ Craig Smith, an artist Sol regards as one of the best DJs in the world because of his unique ability to express stories and emotions through his sets. This period in Edinburgh was instrumental in shaping Sol’s sound, which by the time of his return to London in 2010, had fully matured.
Today, Sol is recognised as a proud DJ specialising in Deep House, Afro House, and Soulful House. His sets are meticulously crafted to elevate, bring joy, and transport listeners to higher places. Sol’s goal is to create experiences that resonate deeply, leaving lasting impressions on all who hear them.
