Alun aka Boy Griff, from South Wales, U.K. loves to mix up all aspects of House & Dance, from Tech, vocal & House to Club, Big Room, Progressive & Electro House along with his own Mash-ups, Bootlegs and the odd Classic you can always expect a massive track list , combining with Griffs energetic attitude you’re guaranteed a atmosphere every time.
Alun always brings his own style to the table as he is self taught and started mixing at 16 years old , since then he has never looked back, going from bedroom DJ to playing house parties, local bars and social clubs as far as creating & promoting his own events all the way up to the nightclub scene , securing himself a prime time slot on a online radio station whilst signing with online DJ agency UKDJS providing opportunities world wide.
Since hitting the Club scene BoyGriff has played all over the UK & Ibiza for some major brands in some of the biggest Clubs and festivals throughout the Valleys of Wales to the UK City centre’s of Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, London, Glasgow, Nottingham, Bath, Cheltenham, Taunton and Gloucester always making his presence known even doing IBIZA summer seasons in 2013, 2014 & revisiting in 2015 & 2016 with some impressive bookings including the world famous Bora Bora beach parties, Eden, Itica Club & Sunset, not forgetting a impressive 20 hour set at a Villa Party.
Now loving playing regularly , headlining different events gaining weekly & monthly residencies and representing some of the biggest promotion companies in Wales and U.K. Most notably competing in the final 4 of the SMIRNOFF National DJ competition (Cardiff heats) , twice winning the City of Baths infamous DJ Battle Royale & recently reaching the final 6 of Walkabout/JoseCuervo UK Battle finishing a commendable 4th out of 105 Djs across the UK. Griff has now built up quite a gig list including guesting twice for a interview and a live mix on FM radio 98.7 FM Radio Cardiff’s award winning show Digital Exposure which is also streamed live online to a worldwide audience.
During his time BoyGriff has warmed up the crowds, played with & featured on the same bills with a variety of worldwide DJs & artists from all styles and genres such as Annie Mac, Andy C, Pendulum, DJ Fresh, Lisa Lashes, Hannah Wants, Judge Jules, Gorgon City, Phats & Small, Jaguar Skills, Redlight, Sigma, Sub Focus, Wilkinson, Foxes (singer) Skepta, Marco V, X-Press 2, Michael Woods, Dillinja (DnB), Kutski, Scot Project, Technoboy, Activator, Jordan Suckley, Neelix, Allen & Envy, Ant brooks, Prok & Fitch, Eton Messy, Booty Luv (pop group) Christina Novelli, Darius Syrossian, Subb-An, Grandmaster Flash (Rapper) and the list could go on including a host of major uk Radio DJs not forgetting Welsh Legends DJs Cally & Juice, Martin Dibble, Big Al, & CN williams (reelhouse).
Regularly providing guest mixes for numerous Podcasts, FM & online radio shows even mobile phone apps, BoyGriff has now started his own monthly Podcast which was released in December 2011 regularly peaking in the top 10 at Podomatic electro house charts & Mixcloud charts this has now officially been released on iTunes. Recently signing with Record Label ‘Grooveland Records’ Hosting a Weekly Radio Show on SW20 RADIO & having his own Bootleg tracks, Mashups featured on various promo albums and supported by various artists worldwide such as Jack eye Jones and other Ibiza residents all this earning himself a Clothing Sponsorship with ‘Pen & Ink Clothing’ Griff is still on the rise and is definitely one upcoming DJ to watch.
